Registrations are now open for the Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa ballot for Program Year 2025-26
We are pleased to announce that registrations for the Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa ballot for program year 2025-26 are now open for India for a period of three weeks.
Online registrations are open from 24 June 2025 to 15 July 2025 AEST. You can register only once when the registrations are open for this three-week period. You cannot register before or after this period.
These registrations are valid until 30 April 2026, when all registrations for this program year expire.
A visa ballot gives those registered the possibility to be randomly selected to apply for a first Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa to Australia.

We will conduct the first random selection on 16 July 2025.
We will conduct future random selections throughout the program year until all registrations expire on 30 April 2026. Dates for future random selections will be published on this page New Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa pre-application process soon after they take place.
Working Holiday Makers can visit Australia for one year, and work and study short term while holidaying. If they meet certain requirements, they could also apply for a subsequent Work and Holiday visa. For further information, see Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462)
