Oz Haat, the Australian High Commission’s popular NGO mela exhibiting the work of Indian community organisations supported by the Australian High Commission’s Direct Aid Program (DAP), will be held on Saturday, 8 December 2012.

“Running since 2000, Oz Haat is an initiative of the Australian High Commission which supports the development activities of a range of NGOs across India,” said Australia’s Acting High Commisioner Dr Lachlan Strahan.

“Oz Haat mela allows NGOs to display their goods and reach customers across the NCR region. I am confident that visitors to our mela will find interesting products and maybe even a Christmas gift or two," added Dr Strahan.

Held annually, this years’ mela will see participation from fifty NGOs from across India. The event will showcase a wide range of products, including paper craft, jewellery, soft furnishings, handicrafts and a special display of Christmas decorations.

Oz Haat is organised by the Australian High Commission as part of its Direct Aid Program (DAP). All proceeds go directly to the charities represented. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.

Oz Haat will be held on Saturday, 8 December 2012 from 10 am to 5 pm on the front lawns of the Australian High Commission. Entry is from Gate 1, 1/50 G Shantipath, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. A range of snacks and refreshments, including an Aussie BBQ, will also be available.
