The Victorian State election will be held on Saturday 24 November, 2018.

Overseas voters can vote early by applying for a postal vote or voting in person at the Australian High Commission New Delhi. You will need to know your Australian address as per your enrolment details in order to be issued with the correct ballot papers. For information on checking your enrolment details, please visit www.vec.vic.gov.au.

POSTAL VOTE

Electors can apply for a postal vote and will have the option of either an online postal vote, or written postal vote. Applications for postal votes should be lodged prior to 1800 (AEST) on Wednesday 21 November. If opting for a written postal vote, apply early to ensure ballot papers are received in time.

Completed ballot material can either be mailed to the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) or lodged in person at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi.

VOTING IN PERSON

Overseas voters can cast their vote in person at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi from 12 November to 23 November 2018 (9am – 12 noon and 2-4pm, Monday to Friday). You cannot vote at overseas voting centres on election day. For security purposes, please bring your Australian passport or other photographic identification with you.

Please note that the ballot papers may not be available at overseas voting centres until Wednesday 14 November 2018 at the latest. Electors seeking an early vote are encouraged to attend the voting centre from 14th November onwards. Alternatively, you may apply for a postal vote.
