Australian High Commission to host Spring Fair on 9 February
The Australian High Commission will host the annual Spring Fair fundraiser organised by Jan Madhyam, an NGO working in the field of disability, on Saturday 9 February.
“Jan Madhyam does important work seen in the support and joy it brings to children with disabilities in India,” said Patrick Suckling, Australian High Commissioner to India.
“The Spring Fair is a fun-filled event that every year provides much needed funds for the continued support of these children,” added Mr Suckling.
This year’s attractions include two live bands, children with hearing disabilities playing the bongo, a food court and plenty of shopping attractions.
There will be lots of activities for children including painting, a puppet show, clay modeling and other attractions.
Last year’s fair attracted over 6,000 people.
The fair will be open from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Park and ride facilities are available from the Ashoka Hotel parking. Entry will be by invitation or through the purchase of a Rs50 ticket on the day.
