www.india.embassy.gov.au

The Australian High Commission today launched a redesigned website with features that will benefit the large number of Indians who visit the site every day seeking information on various facets of Australia.

“The re-designed website has new content and special features for Indian audiences, particularly visa applicants,” said Mr John Fisher, First Secretary and Head of Public Affairs, Australian High Commission.

“The site has been made user-friendly through features such as a simpler and more sympathetic format, easier links and easy-to-download pages for access to wider information,” added Mr Fisher. "I welcome visitors to the website which I hope will enable the Australian Government to reach out and inform many more people.”

The re-designed website is a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade global initiative for a more user friendly, navigable and attractive website for Australian missions in countries across the world. However, the content of each website is tailored for each host country.

The website includes general information about Australia and activities of the Australian High Commission. Information includes press releases, news about official visits and trade and commerce, education opportunities, immigration, and consular services. It also provides direct links to important sites, including that of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Austrade and the Department of Immigration and Multi-cultural Affairs.

The Australian High Commission’s new website can be accessed from the URL: www.india.embassy.gov.au
