Quality Assurance
Australia has comprehensive quality assurance mechanisms embedded in its education system at the government and institutional level as well as through professional peak bodies. For the higher education sector, the Australian Government established the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) as an independent, national quality assurance body that audits the key activities of teaching, learning, research and management in Australian universities. Reports of these audits are made public (please refer to website: www.auqa.edu.au).

Education Agents
Australian education institutions have authorized agents to represent them in India. These agents can provide you with information about the education institutions that they represent and help students to apply for enrolment and facilitate the application for an Australian Student Visa. Make sure that the agent is an authorized representative of the institution that you wish to apply to and understand any fees that may be levied for using their services.
The Australian High Commission does not authorize any agents but supports an agents’ association AAERI (the Association of Australian Education Representatives in India). AAERI members have to abide by code of ethical practices which requires that they provide services to prospective students in a manner which reflects the established practices of the Australian education and training sector on the one hand and safeguards the genuine interest of prospective students on the other. A list of AAERI members can be found at its website at www.aaeri.org
Australian scholarships
Australia offers many scholarships for international students. The grant of scholarship is basically on merit and the students have to demonstrate their eligibility for the scholarship they are applying for. Please click here for information.
